Sometimes when someone is angry about something it is better to walk on eggs. But then open communication, while it may escalate their feelings at present (which you will find out do not belong to you or anything you have done) it will still be capable of honest exchange.

Simply put, honesty is the best policy in all things.

It is ok to keep the peace. But in a relationship this often leads to 'biting of the tongue' until the unheard partner explodes. Keeping the peace at all cost, is just not peace.
