Unfortunately, there can be a lot of damage done, before they learn. What about the attacks they make on others? If it is just idle attack it is one thing, but to impune someone's integrity and honesty in so many quarters all over the internet is very hard to come back from in truth.

When you put the mirror up to a supposed friend in that manner, is where all the anger and self justification comes in. Sometimes this happens with those you are responsible for as well...like chiildren...to teach the life lessons. They will eventually thank you for pushing them to accomplish.
Those that hide in these self-created fantasies don't have a 'real' life outside them to go on to and they are content to dwell.

I have recently given the advice to someone to get both sides of any story before coming to judgement of the situation and any actions. It is important to remember we are only hearing one side of any story.
In any relationship, the only person to be communicating your thoughts is the partner. This swings both ways. Communication is the key to a good relationship surviving all the slings and arrows of life.

I hear ya. I'll make my story short. My integrity and honesty was impuned nationwide (within my professional environment) for several years by one woman - a woman I'd befriended and mentored. Unknown to me at the time, she was a sociopath, a practiced and chronic liar, and a vicious gossip. Long story short - I defended what needed to be, ignored the rest of her lies, and went on with my life. Without question, this period in my life was the most trying for me, but also the most revealing. It separated out real friends from mere acquaintances. I learned valuable lessons about people. But more importantly, I learned a lot about myself. I came to the realization that the only real damage, after all was said and done, was to my pride.
.
What happened to my nemisis? Well, after me, she targeted others for abuse. By doing so, she gained a reputation nationwide as a liar, gossip, and trouble-maker. As word circulated about her (I had no hand in that), people began to take another look at what she'd said about me. Truth won out! My integrity and honesty restored. I can say I'm better off today for the experience.
.
Do you believe in 'what you give is what you get'? It's a fact, not just some slogan. Sometimes it takes time (seemingly forever), but they DO reap what they sew. Hide and watch.

What can a guy say in defense of himself in the presence of women?

Do you feel like you need to defend yourself here? If so, wondering why?

I know, I know, I know....now practice what I preach. LOL
Yes, I believe we reap what we sow...it is called the Law of Attraction and I know it works...if only I had the patience (NOW) to wait out this type of integrity assasination.
This is about my professional integrity as well and as it is involved with spirituality it is a double whammy. Boy are they working up karma! LOL
Thanks for the reminder. ![]()
