The idea that reality is organized in such a way that one aspect of it cannot be chaged, adjusted, or deleted without having to rethink the entire package is part of what this kind of an operating system is all about.
.
It is all created and someone pushes the start button. It's off and running. If you go back and try to change step three in a 60 step program, the entire thing falls apart. You have to, then, change everything after step three. It doesn't fix itself.
.
We're in that kind of a situation in Iraq, aren't we? If you change the reason we went into Iraq, doesn't it all fall apart?

Exactly. This is for the other topic, I guess, but there is so much spin, I'm wondering if our famous recently retired spinner, Shane Warne, could offer advice.

Haha. Young Shane is a cricketer holding the unbeaten world record for taking 700 Test wickets. But of course our very recent 5-nil Ashes win against the UK and the simultaneous retirement of 3 of our great players wouldn't reach the otherwise pre-occupied USA. You guys probably think cricket is that insect, right? happy

There is much political spin in the USA and Shane has survived many off-field scandals. Shane is the world's best leg spinner...I just thought the skills were transferable. happy

Did you know that the very first international cricket match was between the USA and Canada in 1844. It can be akin to watching grass grow so tis not my favourite sport. But the controversy over the prize..the Ashes, stirs debate among those folk. It is some weird kinda trophy that has never left the UK, but we are the current "holders" of it in cricket-speak. The UK tell us the urn holding these ashes was never intended to be a trophy.

Within all the cricket double-speak comes Shane Warne, the undisputed master of the leg spin. And it's majic watching the best of this in action. The ball seems to take a left turn to hit the wicket side-on. I think we "invented" one day cricket.

If Bush started to think in terms of cricket analogies, there's a richness of spin language he could exploit.

How do the two games, Cricket and Baseball, differ?
,
I can understand baseball analogies.
.
Bush is up to bat and he's also been doing the pitching. He's been almost a one man team.
.
And.....
.
He has been striking out. Right about now, we're going into extra innings.

"Redback spiders live in most parts of Australia. Female redback spiders have shiny black bodies with an orange or red stripe on the upper abdomen. Females have a body about the size of a large pea. They have long, thin legs. Males are smaller and are brown. Their red markings are often pale.
"The female redback builds a sticky, tangled web in dry, sheltered places. She hides in a funnel-shaped part at the top of the web. Inside logs, under rubble and rubbish, among rocks and in sheds are such nesting places. Male redbacks do not build webs."
