» Migisi - Courtesy isn't 'common' anymore.

.
Ya know, we don't have to go through a major event to see a sorry lack of common courtesy. Doesn't anyone hold a heavy door open for anybody these days? Folks are SO concerned about being first in line at a restaurant or theater, they'll let the door slam in an elderly person's face! And ever what happened to 'please' and 'thank you' when addressing a store clerk, restaurant hostess, or food server?
.
I guess common courtesy isn't so common anymore.

In response to Courtesy isn't 'common' anymore. posted by Migisi:

Perhaps it stems from a total lack of ethics. Can we teach ethics? Or is this a strong part of who we are as a spiritual being?

I have been struggling with these issues of ethics for a while now. And I wonder...how can we change what needs to be changed? Is there a common place to help people understand what is ethical and what is not. Perhaps if they don't know, they can't fix it for themselves.

God bless, J
